Modeling and Experimental Verification of Induction Heating of Thin Molybdenum Sheets

چکیده
This paper deals with the issues relevant for precise finite element method (FEM) modeling of thin molybdenum plates’ induction heating. The proposed methodology describes step-by-step Multiphysics (electro-thermal) design approach, verified by experimental measurements. Initially, it was observed that relative error between model and set-up is within 1.2% up to 2.5% depending on location measuring points. Further research focused enhancement simulation in form its parametrization. It means easy define coil’s operational parameters geometrical properties (ferrite shape, operating frequency, distance plate heating element, value coil current, etc.). target this approach be able determine optimal settings targeting required performance plates. One main requirements regarding process temperature distribution plate’s surface. makes possible obtain information conditions based received results.
